Despite Will's ex-wife (Terri) showing up when he got sick, I was really enjoying this past episode of Glee...until they began to do a mash-up of Singin' In the Rain and Rihanna's Umbrella.  Now, I'm UTTERLY HORRIFIED.  Excuse me while I wipe that from my memory.

In yesterday's episode of Warehouse 13, the two main characters went to visit a former Warehouse 13 employee who had "retired" *coughgonecrazycough* and when they drove up to the Hutchinson Sanatorium, I realised that it was the manor at Glendon.  *snicker*

Hey!  And they just drove by past the Cheltenham Badlands on the way back to Warehouse 13.  :D

Is it October 12 yet?!??!?!?

Update-y stuffs... Jul. 12th, 2010 @ 04:54 pm
Let's see...what not so very interesting things have happened since the last post?  Not much.

- went to a friend's cottage one weekend where the sun tried to kill me and I read a Kathy Reichs book(gotta love reading about mutilated decapitated bodies while at the beach on nice sunny days...hee)

- saw the Queen and the the Duke of Edinburgh up close at Queen's Park(*huge grin*) as well as a bunch of the usual suspects(ie. the mayor, the GG, etc. etc....oh oh and exciting!  the CDS of the Canadian Forces...he seems really nice...he interrupted the little procession to double back a few steps to pick up something a woman accidentally dropped on the other side of the barrier and hand it back to her.)

- watched the Shriners parade(wow, that lasted much longer than i expected) where I loudly(though at a parade, loud means the people next to you still don't hear you) told off a pervert who apparently thought I wouldn't protest to him pressing himself against the entirety of my back side, the jerk.  I was leaning against a barrier so at first, I thought there was a crowd behind us...uh...ya, no.

- forgot about a library book so I had to speed read through Maureen Jennings' Except the Dying in roughly 3h40min(half the book in the first hour, then slowed down so my brain wouldn't explode) before the library closed that day

- watched Spain defeat the Netherlands on the pitch...for the most part, as I was nodding off at one point.  I think my sugar level was low.  I had trouble staying awake till I ate a few grapes and then I was wide awake again.  Anyhow, way to go, Paul the Octopus!...I mean, Spain!

- after watching the Double Rainbow youtube vid(totally hilarious), I watched the Double Rainbow Song...and got it stuck in my head...

Ooooh!  OOOOOOOH!  *SQUEEEEEE!*  I only just found out(ya, I'm behind) that the first two chapters of The Lost Hero, Rick Riordan's first book in The Heroes of Olympus series set in the same world as his Percy Jackson series*love*, is available online!!!! (password: "newhero").  It comes out October 12!!  *happy dance*

OH OH!  And I found my umbrella!  Yay!

Okay, I am so excited right now 'cause I just found out(yes, I'm a bit behind in keeping up with stuff) that Scott Chantler's Two Generals is finished and coming out in October!!  October 12th, actually!  *rubs hands together*
» EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
I finally got around to watching the season finale for Glee and it reminded me yet again that oh...my...gosh...
I. Love. This. Show.
What was all my squeeing about?
The glee club sang "To Sir With Love" to Will Schuester.  That is just all kinds of awesome and totally perfect!

On a different, yet slightly related, note(heh heh...note...), I seem to be somewhat obsessed with Luigi Boccherini's Musica notturna delle strade di Madrid, Opus 30 No. 6 (G. 324).  I've been playing it on my computer for some time now...on loop.  I like it a whole lot but I do hope that I get it out of my system at some point.
» Boo-urns to the pie.
I love apple pie.  What's even better than apple pie is hot apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.  What's even better than hot apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is hot apple pie with a scoop of french vanilla ice cream.  I sure love hot apple pie with a scoop of french vanilla ice cream............except when that apple pie happens to have a gooey undercooked bottom crust.  Ew.  Gross.

Contest-y things
There's an interview and contest with Lisa Shearin over at The Qwillery.
» Food that's hazardous to your health
Preparing hash browns is a dangerous affair as peeled potatoes are slippery and graters are sharp.
» Hey look! Candy!
Ooooh, the other day, I caught Whale Rider on tv.  Been meaning to watch it.  Good movie!

So, I was looking in the fridge just now and found some long-forgotten hard candy from I forget how many years ago(yes, that many) stuffed in a corner in the door.  Ya............it tastes just as it did way back when I bought it!  *SHRUG*  It didn't look any different.  If I kick the bucket because of this, at least it was tasty.  :D
